SCRIPTS AND FEATURE LENGTHS PROJECTS SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
(Unpublished Scripts and ¨Rough Cuts¨ Projects Competition)
The screenplays in competition must attach a production evaluation specifying that the cost of the movie does not exceed 250,000 USD, and thus adjust to the purpose of this event. The scripts should be double-spaced and have no less than 80 pages and no more than 120. The length of the proposed films should not exceed 1 hour 45 min. Project entries (two copies printed in Spanish, English or French) should be sent to the Festival Office from the 1st of May 2007 to the 15th of January 2008. Also, mail a copy in Word format.
In the case of ¨Rough Cuts¨ Projects, send a DVD (multizone) copy of film in Spanish, English or French or subtitled in Spanish, English or French.
The author must attach a sworn statement of the property of the script. If it is based on an original literary work, the author should present a copy of the authorization (cession of rights) of the book’s author.
If the script author has a partner or cession of rights to his script, he must enclose a copy of this agreement and its financial design.
The award in this category will consist in diverse technological contributions, therefore we will require a copy of any contract signed by the author.

All of these materials will become property of the Festival Archives.

III. The person aforementioned in the points I o II commits to not withdraw the script or project from the 5th International Non-Budget Film Festival, Gibara, Cuba.
IV. The awarded projects must donate a DVD copy of the finished film to the Archives of the International Non-Budget Film Festival for non-commercial use.
The awarded project once finished should be presented in the following edition of the contest, as long as it does not interfere with its participation in class A festivals. In that case, it will be presented in competition at the festival after that.
